ASBC medallists Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu and Khalit Aliyev shined in the Kyrgyz Youth National Championships

The Kyrgyz Youth National Championships was held in their capital city of Bishkek where five competition days were on the program and 11 champions have been crowned. The event supported the preparation of the Kyrgyz talents before the main goals of 2020 and the champions have got the chance to attend internationally. Medallists from the Fujairah 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu and Khalit Aliyev won their weight classes in Bishkek.

Kyrgyzstan claimed one gold medal in the Ulaanbaatar 2019 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships on November which was a historical milestone for the Central Asian boxing power. Their talents claimed impressed also in the Fujairah 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships and many of them are now member of their youth team.

Boxers who were born in 2002 and in 2003 were eligible to attend in the competition which was the first selection event for them. Altogether 124 boxers attended in 11 weight classes at the Kyrgyz Youth National Championships where 113 fights were held from the preliminaries until the final bouts. The bantamweight (56kg) was the most crowded category with the participation of 23 boxers in Bishkek.

The first gold medal of the event was achieved by Bishkek’s Eldiyar Temirbekov who controlled all of his three fights and defeated also Amantur Altynbek Uulu in the final of the pinweight (46kg). Baktybek Sadirbek Uulu attended already in ASBC events and following his success over his main rival Anvar Khodjiyev in the semi-final, he stopped Nurali Amanbayev in the final of the light flyweight (49kg).

Issyk-Kul region’s Zhakshylyk Tilek Uulu had a tough semi-final against Amankeldi Omurzakov but he managed to win that close fight and he had still strong motivation to beat Nurlis Melisbekov in the final of the flyweight (52kg). Experienced boxers as Bayaman Magzymov, Maksat Zhusupov and Erzhan Avenov achieved silver and bronze medals at the busy bantamweight (56kg) while the title was won by Zhantoro Tashiyev of Osh region.

Bishkek’s Askat Kultayev arrived to the Kyrgyz Youth National Championships as an international level boxer who defeated a younger hope Yryskeldi Emilbek Uulu in the final of the lightweight (60kg) while Azat Kubatov and Ikhtiyor Nishonov missed their main target the gold in the event. ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships bronze medallist Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu is Kyrgyzstan’s top talent who won the light welterweight (64kg) after beating Mukhammed Anapiyayev in a superb final.

Bishkek’s Yryskeldi Kutberdiyev controlled all of his four fights in the welterweight (69kg) of the national event and impressed in the final against Shergazi Abdimalik Uulu. Begaly Abdurasul Uulu caused a big surprise at the middleweight (75kg) where he had to meet with ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships bronze medallist Islambek Turgunov but he managed to win that tough final. Chui region’s Aleksandr Drevsyannikov reached his career highlight capturing the gold medal at the light heavyweight (81kg). ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships silver medallist Khalit Aliyev is in different level than any other Kyrgyz heavyweight (91kg) boxers and dominated his fight over his main rival Erlan Kadyrbayev as well. The super heavyweight (+91kg) title was won by Bishkek’s Mirastan Mirlan Uulu who knocked out Zhoomart Mokenov in the final of the event.
