Uzbekistan’s Timur Ergashev delivered a success for the Ne Rhinos against the Punjab Panthers
The Ne Rhinos had to meet with the Punjab Panthers in the thirteenth day of the Indian Big Bout Boxing League which was a cruel fight between the franchises. Punjab Panthers had a significant lead after five fight but due their opponent’s amazing return the final result was 4-3 in the favour of the Ne Rhinos.
Big Bout is the official name of the Indian Boxing League which is a new program of the Boxing Federation of India which will be closing the busy year of 2019. Boxing Federation of India covered all costs for the boxers including flight tickets, accommodation, meals and local transportation, furthermore strong money prizes for the boxers. The competition period of the League is from December 2 until December 21 which is open for top foreign boxers as well.
Ambeshori Devi Huidrom is a well-experienced international level female boxer at the youth featherweight (57kg) who controlled most of the parts against Sapna Sharma in the first bout of the encounter. Uzbekistan’s Youth Olympic Games winner and AIBA Youth World Champion Abdumalik Khalakov is only 19 but he is one of the main future hopes of our Asian continent who defeated ASBC 2018 WSB Boxer of the Year Mohammed Etash Khan in the men’s bantamweight (57kg).
Astana 2016 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships silver medallist Sonia Lather Singh moved up to the lightweight (60kg) and used her strength and speed to beat National Champion Pwilao Basumatary taking the second triumph for the Punjab Panthers. Amman 2013 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships silver medallist Mandeep Jangra became the fourth winner of the match at the men’s welterweight (69kg) following his success over Yashpal on Day13.
Punjab’s third success was achieved by former AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Polipalli Lalitha Prasad who succeeded against Laldin Mawia at the men’s flyweight (52kg). The Punjab Panthers led 3-2 after five contests but the match was won finally by the Ne Rhinos whose two last boxers both amazed in the encounter. Nikhat Zareen dominated the women’s flyweight (51kg) fight over her inexperienced rival while Timur Ergashev of Uzbekistan secured Ne Rhinos’ final success at the heavyweight (91kg).
