Mr. Jaber Muhsen – We invested for the future with this ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships
The Executive Director of the Kuwait Boxing Federation Mr. Jaber Muhsen is ASBC Executive Committee member who worked hard in the recent three months for the success of the first edition of the ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships. Kuwait returned to the boxing map with a historical organization which was introduced by the host country’s leading official in the venue of the event.
“Kuwait Boxing Federation was suspended four years which was hard period for our sport in the country as all of our athletes retired. We could come back to the business less than one year ago but we worked on our developments hard to reach the level of the Asian countries as quickly as possible.
We competed in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Bangkok this April returning to the international competitions. I was elected as ASBC Executive Committee member in Bangkok during the General Assembly which was a personal success for me and I think for Kuwait as well.
We competed here at the ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships with bigger team to increase the experiences of our boxers and introduce them to the local crowd and media. We are focusing to the schoolboys which is our top priority in Kuwait and the grassroots for all of our future developments.
We know that we need more preparation, international events and training camps with good coaches mostly out of the country. Kuwait has strong strategic plans for the upcoming five years and we invested for the future.
Our President Mr. Mohammed Mensi Al-Enezi is member of the new young generation of officials who is energetic as many of our staff members in Kuwait. He was a boxer in the past and he is very active to reach our future goals with hard work and enthusiasm.
We want to send our boxers to more events and compete in all of the upcoming ASBC Asian Boxing Championships. We are planning to develop our boxers in a special school program in a foreign country and the details of the agenda is under discussion.
We have now an ASBC event but in the short future we are planning to host bigger competitions and AIBA Championships as well.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are perfect in this competition but India and some other countries also amazed me. The Uzbek and the Kazakh boxers control their contests, they want to dominate with high confidence. I would like to see Kuwait’s flag and our country’s participation everywhere in the World ,“ said Kuwait’s ASBC EC member Mr. Jaber Muhsen in the venue of the competition.
