Uzbekistan will be attending with maximum number of 14 boxers in the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships

The Uzbekistan Boxing Federation will be sending maximum number of 14 boxers to the historical first edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships to Kuwait City following their registrations to the event. The Uzbeks are enough strong also in this age group to win gold medals in Kuwait City.
Uzbekistan topped the team rankings in many ASBC events in the recent years including the ASBC Asian Men’s Elite Boxing Championships in Bangkok on April. Their youngest age group has got already international experiences as well and following their competitions in Uzbekistan and in Kazakhstan the talents are ready to win gold medals in Kuwait City.
The Asian Boxing Confederation’s new event the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships will be held in Kuwait City on August 1-9. Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 are eligible to attend in the ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Kuwait City.
The ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships is scheduled to be held in fourteen different categories in Kuwait City from the 35kg weight class where the minimum will be 33kg. The official weight classes are as follows: 33-35kg, 37kg, 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 52kg, 55kg, 58kg, 61kg, 64kg, 67kg, 70kg and +70kg.
Nearly 500 boxers attended in the last edition of the Uzbekistan Schoolboys National Championships which was held in the city of Termez setting up new records in this age group. Uzbekistan has got high number of boxers and following the success of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games it is still increasing.
Ferghana’s Khumoyunmirzo Abdurasulov won the gold medal in the Uzbekistan Schoolboys National Championships and will be representing the boxing power at the 35kg. Khodzhiakbar Makhmudov also trains in Ferghana and his gold medal in the national event delivered for him a place in the team. The youngest boxer in the team will be Farrukh Tulaganov (40kg) who is only 13 now.
Andizhan’s Umidullo Abdurasulov was gold medallist in the 2018 edition of the Uzbekistan Schoolboys National Championships at the 42kg weight class and repeated that title in 2019 which means he is one of the most experienced boxers in the team. Bukhara’s Dalerjon Bozorov won the title at the 2018 Uzbekistan Schoolboys National Championships at the 46kg and defended his throne in Termez this year making him a potential gold medal contender in Kuwait City.
Khorezm’s Shavkatjon Boltayev achieved bronze medal in the 2018 edition of the Uzbekistan Schoolboys National Championships and gold in 2019 after moving up two categories. Karakalpakstan lone boxer in the national team will be Aynazar Kenesbayev who succeeded and bagged the title in Termez after his national bronze medal in 2018. Tashkent’s Husanboy Rikhsiboyev is a strong hope who will be competing at the +70kg weight class in Kuwait City.
