2016 AIBA Asian & Oceania Olympic Qualifiers
Registrations are still open to the AIBA Asian & Oceania Olympic Qualifiers
The registrations to the AIBA Asian & Oceania Olympic Qualifiers are open in the AIBA Database until February 5. Flight informations, arrivals and departures to the competition also need to be registered in the AIBA Database until February 19. The International Boxing Federation and the Asian Boxing Confederation is expecting big battles and high number of participants in Qianan, China.
Women boxers who were born between 1976 and 1997 are eligible to compete in the 51 kg, 60 kg and 75 kg weight classes. The finalists of the three weight classes will be getting quotas to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Men boxers who were born between 1976 and 1998 are eligible to box in the 49 kg, 52 kg, 56 kg, 60 kg, 64 kg, 69 kg, 75 kg, 81 kg, 91 kg and +91 kg. The boxers who are spending their second year in the youth age group (1998) also can box in the AIBA Asian & Oceania Olympic Qualifiers in Qianan, China.
The best 2-2 women and 3-3 men boxers can qualify to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games from the AIBA Asian & Oceania Olympic Qualifiers which will be held in Qianan, China between March 23 and April 3. The first competition day is March 25 in Qianan while the finals will be held on April 2.
